Operations Manager (Berkeley, CA)

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate the operations of a company selling handmade rugs.
• Formulate policies, manage daily operations, and plan the use of materials and human resources.
• Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to identify areas needing cost reduction.
• Perform personnel functions, such as selection, training, and evaluation.
• Monitor suppliers to ensure they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods and services within budgetary limits.
• Direct financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
• Develop product-marketing strategies, including advertising campaigns and sales promotions.

Requirements:

• 4 years of experience in the job or as a general manager in the rug industry.
• 40 hrs/wk, $172,786/year.
